It’s exam time again! Nerves are flying high and people are starting to cram those last pieces of information into their brains before the day comes! All I can say is this:
IF you came to class, studied, read the material, did the practice exercises , and used the resources available to you over the past 8 months, you have been exposed to a lot of English! Have confidence in that!!!
On the other hand – don’t expect to be able to learn 8 months worth of material in a week. If you haven’t done much with English this year – don’t waste your time at the exam! As I say at the beginning of every year – it takes time and practice to learn a language.
SO – I have uploaded the 4 simulations that we have been doing for each group (B1 and B2) on the “Resources” page. You’ll find the text and the audio for each simulation. Remember – my simulations are directly related to the topic of the exam!
The texts this year come from the following books:
B1 Richard Nisbett – The Geography of Thought
B2 Niall Ferguson – The Ascent of Money.
Reading these books will help you for your exam. They’re only about 250 pages each. It is a great exercise, and you’ll learn a lot about your chosen subject of STUDY – language and culture for business.
I’ve tested the audio and text on the blog – they seem to work.
Good luck to everyone! It has been a great pleasure to be your professor this year! DO relax for the exams! Don’t try to learn 40.000.000 new things – just review what you know!!!!!!
DO have a great day!
