just a quick note to let you know that I’ve posted last September’s and last January’s B1 and B2 listening exams under the page “resources” (click on the title “resources at the top of this page, under the header). In the resources page, click on the sub-page “B1 exam material” or “B2 exam material” on the right hand side of the page. There are the audio files in mp3 followed by the text, questions, and answer sheets in word (1 document). I believe we have simulations in a couple of weeks, so it’s time to begin thinking about how exams work! I don’t like there to be surprises for you! I’ll admit, I was going to do a video exam – using video instead of only audio – which would be very good, but we don’t have the same equipment in both CLA laboratories (one has computer screens and one has 2 TVs) so after consulting with colleagues I’ve decided that you might not find this to be fair and equal. The listening exam will be audio only. I’ll explain the examination method during the simulations and answer any questions at that time. I believe you can find a lot of information by looking at the blog posts from last May.
In other news, I’m very pleased to see that so many of you are still coming to class! I know you have a lot to do during the day, and I appreciate the effort! I hope I’m not making the classes too boring! Let me know what I could change, or what YOU would like to see happen!
All the best to you – and have a great day!
