Hi everyone!
As we’ve discussed in class, this page is a place for you to write your comments and give me feedback about the lessons and my teaching. Please feel free to discuss any aspect of the SERVICE you PERCEIVE! Your opinions and observations are very important. YOU can help improve the quality of service that I provide.
After a week of discussions with students about my classes, we’ve decided to implement the following:
1) I will stop my presentations half an hour before the end of class, so we have time to discuss the material. It was never enough that I asked for questions, since that often “puts people on the spot” and sometimes shuts down interaction. In other words, very few times do people actually have questions ready – in English – without some form of directed discussion. That’s what we will do.
2) I will pass around a little book for post-lesson comments during this last half hour – so if you have any observations about the class, the discussion, the material, etc. PLEASE write them in the book. That way I will have an account of which parts of my lessons are more successful, and where I need to change things.
3) This blog page is specifically for your comments! Simply click on the “comments” link at the top of the page and a box will open up for you to write your comments in. It will require your name and e-mail address, and I will receive the comments for approval at my e-mail address. As long as the comments are honest and useful for the purpose of improving the service!
